A retail chain in Gothenburg, Sweden, transformed its store entrance into an elegant, welcoming space using the Flexibarrier VIP Entrance Package.
First impressions matter in retail. From the moment customers approach a store, the entrance helps set the tone for their shopping experience.
One retail chain in Gothenburg, Sweden, wanted to add a touch of luxury to its store entrance. Rather than investing in an expensive refurbishment, the retailer chose a simple yet effective solution: a classic red carpet entrance complete with polished gold posts and red braided ropes.
The result? A stylish, eye-catching entrance that gives customers a VIP-style welcome.
Rolling Out the Red Carpet for Customers
Red carpets are often associated with film premieres, award ceremonies and exclusive events. But why should the VIP treatment be reserved for celebrities?
As this customer installation demonstrates, a red carpet can also make a fantastic addition to a retail environment.
The store installed our Flexibarrier VIP Entrance Package, positioning the red carpet in the entrance area and arranging the gold barrier posts and red ropes along both sides.
The bright red carpet creates a striking contrast against the light-coloured flooring, while the polished gold posts add an elegant finishing touch.
Together, the elements create an inviting walkway that naturally draws attention towards the store's interior.
The Complete Flexibarrier VIP Entrance Package
The retailer selected our (4 Pack) – Flexibarrier VIP Entrance Package Including Posts, Ropes & Carpet, a complete solution designed to create a professional and attractive entrance.
The package includes:
-
4 polished brass ball-top barrier posts – classic stanchions with round bases and rope attachment loops.
-
2 premium braided barrier ropes – red ropes with snap-end fittings for easy attachment.
-
1 red entrance carpet (300 × 90 cm) – creating a welcoming red carpet walkway.
The ball-top posts feature stable round bases, while the ropes can be attached quickly and easily.
With all the main components included in one package, creating a coordinated VIP entrance is straightforward.
A Simple Way to Enhance the Shopping Experience
What makes this installation particularly effective is how well the entrance package complements the existing retail environment.
The vibrant red carpet creates a visual focal point, while the gold posts and red ropes give the entrance a more exclusive appearance.
The arrangement also helps define the walkway, guiding customers towards the store displays without the need for permanent fixtures.
It's a great example of how relatively small changes can make a noticeable difference to a store's presentation.
Perfect for Retail Stores, Events and VIP Areas
Although traditionally associated with special events, red carpet entrance packages are surprisingly versatile.

The retailer in Gothenburg was able to enhance its existing entrance using just a red carpet, four gold barrier posts and two red ropes.
No extensive construction work or permanent changes to the store interior were required for the freestanding barrier arrangement.
The result is a classic VIP-inspired entrance that looks equally at home in a fashion boutique, hotel lobby or special event venue.
