Returns & Refunds Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase from Barriers4u.co.uk. This policy explains how returns, cancellations and refunds are handled for purchases made through our website.


1. Standard Return Policy

In addition to any statutory rights you may have, we offer a voluntary 30-day return policy.

To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be returned within 30 days of delivery.

  • Items must be unused, undamaged and complete.

  • Items must be returned in their original packaging where reasonably possible.

  • Customers are responsible for arranging and paying return shipping unless the item is faulty, damaged, or supplied incorrectly.

Certain products may be excluded from this policy as described below.


2. Order Cancellation Before Dispatch

Customers may request cancellation of eligible orders through their customer account before the order has been fulfilled.

Where available, cancellation requests can be submitted directly from the order details page within the customer account area.

If you are unable to access your customer account, you may alternatively contact us at info@barriers4u.co.uk quoting your order number.

Once an order has been fulfilled or dispatched, it can no longer be cancelled. Eligible consumers may still exercise their statutory right of withdrawal as described below.


3. Consumer Right to Cancel (UK & EU Consumers)

If you are purchasing as a consumer, you have a statutory right to cancel your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.

The cancellation period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you, receives the final item in your order.

Your notification should clearly state your intention to cancel and include your order number.

Once cancellation has been requested, you must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us.

Unless the goods are faulty or incorrectly supplied, you are responsible for the cost of returning the goods.


4. Return Procedure

Before returning any item:

  1. Contact us at info@barriers4u.co.uk.

  2. We will confirm whether the return is authorised.

  3. We will provide return instructions and the correct return address.

  4. Use a tracked shipping service and retain proof of shipment.

Items returned without prior authorisation may be refused.


5. Condition of Returned Goods

Returned products must be:

  • Unused

  • Complete

  • In a resalable condition

  • Free from installation marks, damage or misuse

Where goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to inspect them, we reserve the right to make a deduction from any refund to reflect any loss in value as permitted by applicable law.

For returns made under our voluntary 30-day return policy, an administrative and restocking deduction of up to 15% may be applied where appropriate.


6. Custom-Made, Personalised & Non-Returnable Products

The right to cancel or return does not apply to products that are:

  • Custom-made

  • Manufactured to customer specifications

  • Personalised

  • Printed or branded specifically for the customer

  • Special-order products sourced specifically at the customer's request

Examples include:

  • Custom printed barrier belts

  • Printed café barrier banners

  • Bespoke signage

  • Custom graphics and branding

  • Made-to-order products

These items are final sale and cannot be cancelled or returned unless they are faulty, damaged or supplied incorrectly.


7. Damaged, Incorrect or Faulty Goods

Please inspect your delivery upon receipt.

If your order arrives damaged, incomplete or incorrect, contact us as soon as possible and preferably within 7 days of delivery.

Please provide:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Photographs where applicable

This helps us resolve the matter quickly and does not affect your statutory rights.

Manufacturing defects are covered by our 3-Year Functional Warranty where applicable.


8. Refunds

Once returned goods have been received and inspected, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved.

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 10 business days.

Please note that banks and card providers may require additional processing time before funds appear in your account.

Refunds may be reduced where permitted by law if returned goods have suffered a loss in value due to unnecessary handling.

Original delivery charges are refunded only where required by applicable consumer protection laws.


9. Exchanges

The fastest way to exchange an item is to place a new order for the replacement product and return the original item once authorised.
