Returns & Refunds Policy

We aim to ensure every order meets your expectations. This policy explains how returns, cancellations and refunds are handled for purchases made on barriers4u.co.uk.

1) Standard return policy (store policy)

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. To be eligible, items must be in unused condition, complete, and returned in the original packaging. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or incorrectly supplied.

  • Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery.
  • Customer arranges and pays for return shipping.
  • A 15% restocking fee applies to discretionary returns (non-faulty goods).
  • Final sale items cannot be returned.

2) Legal right to cancel (Consumers – UK/EU)

If you are a consumer, you also have a statutory right under UK and EU law to cancel your order within 14 days without giving any reason. The 14-day period starts on the day you (or a person you designate) receive the last item in your order.

To exercise this right, email us at info@barriers4u.co.uk before the deadline, including your order number and a clear statement of cancellation.

3) Return process

  • Contact us first to request a return at info@barriers4u.co.uk.
  • We will confirm the return and provide instructions and the correct return address.
  • Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted.
  • Use a tracked service and retain proof of shipment.

4) Condition of returned goods

Returned items must be unused, undamaged, and in original packaging. Returns that show wear, installation marks, or missing components may be refused or subject to a higher restocking deduction.

5) Custom-made & non-returnable items

The right to return or cancel does not apply to items made to your specifications or clearly personalised — for example, custom printed barrier belts, banners, or branded signage. These items are final sale and cannot be returned unless defective or damaged on arrival.

6) Damages & faults

  • Inspect your delivery immediately upon receipt.
  • Report visible transport damage within 7 days.
  • Manufacturing defects are covered by our 3-year functional warranty.
  • Contact info@barriers4u.co.uk with photos and order details for repair, replacement or refund.

7) Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, you’ll be notified of approval or rejection. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or card issuer to post the transaction.

Refunds for voluntary returns may be reduced by the 15% restocking fee where applicable.

8) Exchanges

For a faster exchange, place a new order for the desired item and return the original once authorised.
